Unlike many other Port Authorities, Orkney is not recognised for any single commercial marine activity. Its diverse range of revenue streams including oil and gas, passenger and freight, marine renewables and cruise ships to name but a few, means that when industries peak and trough on a cyclical basis, Orkney is always well equipped to capitalise on those opportunities.
