HMS Duncan and FGS Brandenburg received 2491 visitors on Saturday ( 4 June 2016) during an open day at Hatston Pier. This was a staggering number and considerably exceeded the anticipated 500 visitors. The total figure was double of that achieved when the vessels visited London in May. The ships have now sailed from Orkney following the HMS Hampshire commemorations held on Sunday evening.
