Orkney Ports and Harbours
Within its Ports estate, Orkney has 29 Piers, Harbours and Slipways plus 3 Marinas. Our main ports are Hatston Pier, Kirkwall Pier and Stromness Pier, and our Marinas are located in Kirkwall, Stromness and Westray.
Throughout the year we receive a variety of shipping including Cruise Ships with up to 3500 passengers, oil tankers, cargo and freight ships and general shipping.
Orkney's ports are displayed as red icons on the map. Port details can be retrieved as follows:
- Moving the mouse-pointer over a port will display its name.
- Double clicking an icon will display information on that port as a pdf file from the Port Handbook.
